This is the ultimate choose-your-own-adventure shelving unit, the chrome bars have holes drilled every few inches, so there are literally 100's of different ways to configure the storage pods and shelves on this unit. The storage pod on the left side features a drop writing top, put this piece lower and it can be used as a stationary desk. Remove the shelves from underneath the pod and place a desk chair there. The storage pod on the right features a removable interior shelf. This piece would make a great book/LP/DVD case or an awesome entertainment center, granted your TV isn't super-sized. There are two extra shelves included, not in the photo. The back of this piece is also finished, so you could use it as a room divider. The chrome bars are in great condition. The shelves/pods are wafer-board (not to be confused with the far inferior particle-board) and are in very nice condition.
I purchased this piece from the original owner, who purchased it in the mid 1960's. This is a flat-pack unit, once dissembled it will easily fit in the back of a station wagon.
