Walnut and Marble Table Lamp Set

So here are three very cool matching lamps. All work, though the little guy on the far left has a touchy switch. I listed these as unfinished as the shades could use replacing, though it's not necessary, you could simply face the defects toward the wall. But hey shades are easy to replace, order 'em new or rob 'em off of a cheap lamp at the thrift store. Genuine marble base, made in Italy. If your looking for a cool, inexpensive, MCM lamp set, you just found it!

Walnut Highboy Dresser

And we're back! Starting off the New Year with a plethora of walnut! 

Here is the first piece of a five piece set I will be posting in the following days. It's a lovely four drawer highboy dresser in a med-dark walnut. Very clean, understated lines, hidden drawer pulls and a Formica top in near pristine condition. Very sturdy (all drawers have dove-tailed joints) and impeccably taken care of over the years.

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year From MidCenturyChicago!

Well its that time of year again when the snow is blowing, chimneys are puffing and folks are getting together with old friends. I myself am heading down south for warmer weather and to be with friends and family alike.  The shop will be closed starting Saturday, December 21st and will reopen January 2nd.

I would like personally to thank everyone for making it another great year over here at MidCenturyChicago. Here's to 2014!

Sunbeam Mixmaster Mixer

Here is a very cool vintage Sunbeam Mixmaster mixer in absolutely outstanding condition. Includes the original pair of milk glass "Glasbake" mixing bowls, both bowls are 100% chip and crack free. As well as two beaters, power chord and hand made cover. Still works like a champ all these years later. Bowls spin while the mixer mixes, Sunbeam claims this will lead to a fluffier cake, if nothing else it looks cool. The top easily detaches to be used as a hand held mixer.

Nelson Style Daybed Sofa

Well I have been holding on to this guy for about a year now, using it as my shop sofa. It's very comfortable and is totally functional as is, but with a fresh set of cushion covers it would really be amazing. Take the back cushions off and you have a bed that can easily sleep a 6' person. This is a very nice take on the George Nelson Daybed which he designed for Herman Miller.

Set of 4 AllSteel Desk Chairs

Here is a set of 4 All Steel desk chairs in the Pollock style. All chairs tilt and swivel. 3 of the 4 rise and lower, one does not. Over all very nice, solid, hole hole/rip free condition. Chrome is nice and bright. Chairs would look even better with a good fabric steaming. Foam is very firm and chairs are very comfortable. All chairs have "IBM Property" decals on the legs. If you have a fresh start-up and are looking for some rad mid-century office chairs here ya go.
