Simmons Lowboy Dresser

Here we have a nice Simmons 6 drawer lowboy dresser. This guy has a no-fuss Formica top in very good condition, with minimal wear. Simmons was very proud of that top, it's resistant to almost everything, just check out the label! Nice amount of storage and this fellow and its not too long, great for a small Chicago apartment. Cool drawer pulls too. Made in the USA.

Dixie Lowboy Dresser w/ Mirror

 

Here we have a beautiful walnut nine drawer Dixie lowboy dresser with a removable mirror and a protective glass top. This handsome gent was made in Lexington N.C. and sold by the John M. Smyth Company, which during the 1960's had an eight story showroom at 20 N. Michigan right here in Chicago. This dresser has a touch of danish modern style to it, ya gotta love those recessed wooden drawer pulls. The cutaways on the bottom support are also a very nice touch, giving the dresser a weightless quality. The mirror is detachable and has wall mounts on the back so that you could hang it elsewhere in your abode. This guy is in wonderful condition and has a fresh new stain, gloss and wax on the dresser top. With the addition of the glass top (which is in perfect condition) it almost looks like a mirror.

Lane 3 Piece Walnut & Burl Wood Living Room Set

It took me a month but I am finally all set up (for the most part) and will be posting more items in the following days.

Here we have a beautiful Lane living room set in the danish modern style. This was a top of the line set for Lane in the 60's, made of solid walnut with burl wood inlays. The two end tables are in near perfect condition, it looks like they spent the last 50 years in a time capsule. The square end table has two drawers for extra storage. The double decker coffee table is in good condition, but does have a few stains on the top level. The coffee table is a bit peculiar in the fact hat it is a double decker, it also has wooden covers that go over the cutouts on each end. This coffee table could also be used as an entryway table, you could put umbrellas in the cutaways. If you have a smaller living area the square end table is large enough to be used as a coffee table. Very solid, very sturdy, very rare,very cool.

I would like to sell this as a set, but if my work shop starts to fill up I will part them out to get room. So as for now I am not breaking the set up.
